We like to invite you to our
10th annual "Weisser Spargel Fest"

A favorite for the lovers of the Queen of vegetables, the White Asparagus: Poached salmon with the cream of white asparagus!

Looks like heaven on earth in spring! A fresh pound of white asparagus accompanied by slices of slow roasted leg of lamb, during the Spargelfest we serve the asparagus facing the guest since that is the main attraction!

Bavarian Bier Lovers Corner – Hofbrau Maibock
In 1612, Duke Maximillian I of Munich initiated a search for the greatest brewer in Germany. Einbeck was renowned for its premier brewers, and Elias Pichler was hailed as one of the very best. Maximillian invited Pichler to the Hofbrauhaus in Munich so he (Pichler) could teach the brewers of Munich how to brew this enviable beverage. This beer was called “Ainpeockische”, and was eventually shortened to “poeck” or “bock” in German.

The Hofbrauhaus in Munich is considered to be the “official” birthplace of the Bock style of beer. In 1879, the world known trademark of HB with a crown was registered in Munich, and by 1966 Hofbrauhaus was known as the most famous beer-serving center in the world.

Traditional Bock is most commonly brewed in the winter and spring. It is a strong, enticing version of the Dunkel style of beer common to Munich.

Bavarian Proverbs: Eile mit Weile!
  • Translation: "Hurry with leisure."
    • Meaning: "Slower is faster."
    • Equivalent: "Slow and steady wins the race."
"Haste makes waste." "More haste, less speed."

The saying „Eile mit Weile“ describes the Bavarian gastronomic culture very well. Instead of ordering food to go or stop by at a fast food restaurant, Bavarians typically enjoy their food by taking time to sit down, talk and relax while having lunch or dinner. Seasonal menus highlight specialties of each region. Going out to eat is not only important to satisfy ones hunger but it is also a great opportunity to meet friends or colleagues, and find new favorite dishes. If you want to experience the laid back Bavarian culture and enjoy seasonal Bavarian specialties we would like to welcome you as our guest.
Have a beer at our Biergarten and enjoy the 'Gemütlichkeit'!
We look forward to seeing you soon and happy Spargelfest,

    Your Bavarian Grill Team

The June Stein Club Meeting is scheduled for June 13 at 7 pm in the Biergarten

In the past we invited a brewery ambassador to our meeting to give a short presentation about the brewery and to sample some of their authentic German Biers. What do you think, shall we continue this tradition or do you have any other suggestions for our Stein Club meeting?

Special dinners -- open to all guests of the Bavarian Grill -- are normally held on the second Wednesday night of every odd month.

A delightful Sommer treat awaits Bayern Stein Club members and other guests  on July 11th, when they will enjoy Spiessbraten, a flavorful pork roast speciality along with the appropriate side dishes. Since the lighter Weiss Biers are popular at this time of the year, two half-liters of Franziskaner Wiess Bier will be included with the dinner.
< There is a background story on the Bavarian Grill webpage. Please click here for the link >

The cost is $29.75, $24.75 for Stein Club members. Please RSVP by July 10. < Please click on this link to make your reservation,  > or ontact the Bavarian Grill at 972-881-0705 for reservations.
