Oktoberfest  -   Worker’s Responsibilities

 Each worker is representing our club, sponsors, and benefiting charities, so please remember that our primary goal for the night is to do our best to see that every attendee has a wonderful experience.  At the end of the evening we want everyone to leave with a great impression of the event and of the Bavarian Grill.  
 In an effort to achieve this goal, please familiarize yourself with the following timeline and guidelines for each area of service:

Guidelines for each area of service:

 Check-in:

 1.  For guest with tickets:

a.       Take ticket, and check guest’s name on ticket roster.

b.      Give three drink tickets.

c.       Give program and auction listing

d.      Remind guest that their ticket number is their auction number.

 2.  For Will Calls:

a.       Direct to Will Call desk;

b.      Check guest name against Will Call list:

c.       Follow steps 1(b-d)

  Dining Areas:

1.  Monitor area for guest needs, including:

a.       Finding available seating.

b.      Providing any needed dining needs like replacement silverware, napkins, water, softdrinks, coffee, etc.

c.       Bus and clean dining spots when open. This is very important to assure arriving people have a place to sit and eat. Multiple parties at one table should be encouraged since that is how it's done at the Munich Oktoberfest.

d.      Relay any request for alcoholic beverages to the Bavarian Grill wait staff. Fill orders for softdrinks, iced tea, coffee.

 Buffet Lines:

 1.   Monitor the food levels, notify kitchen as levels run low.

 2.   Get food refill from kitchen and stock buffet.

 3.   Keep buffet line clean of spills.

 4.   Keep silverware, napkins, and plates stocked.

 It is very important to keep the buffet stocked with food for the guests at all times!

 Bar Areas:

 1.  Assist the bar staff in keeping the area clean, including glasses, and bar area.

 Raffle Tickets:

 1.  Continuously circulate among the guests and solicit raffle ticket sales, both regular raffle and the Big Spenders.

 2.   For credit card sales, see Check Out area.

 3.  Upon closing of auction tables, also circulate with the table closing placard and announce the table closing.

 Deal or No Deal:

 1.      Continuously circulate among the guests and solicit sales of from the Deal or No Deal attaché case.

 2.    Direct purchasers to the claiming room.

 3.   For credit card purchases see Check Out area.

 Silent Auction:

 1.   Assist in auction set-up.

 2.   Monitor assigned table area to assist guest with any questions.

 3.   For guest who elect the Buy It Now feature assist in claiming item and take to check out.

 4.   Upon table closing pick up bid sheets and deliver to check out area.

 5.   Assist guest returning from check out are with paid receipt to claim item.

 Check Out:

 1.   Auction Items:

a.       Match guest’s bid number with bid sheets.

b.      Total guest winning amounts.

c.       Process payment (check, cash, credit card)

d.      Give guest paid receipt to claim items from auction committee.

 2.   Misc:

a.       Accept receipts from raffle sales, Deal or No Deal and process credit card payments
